Brighter in its ruby color than Schlossberg and Centrafenberg, Fürst's 2015 Spätburgunder Hunsrück GG is super clear, pure and fresh on the nose, with spicy-peppery and red fruit aromas and earthy flavors of beetroot. Full-bodied, intense and powerful on the palate, this is a tightly woven and structured Pinot Noir with great complexity, length and aging potential. This is a long distance runner and that's due to the old vines and 90% of whole clusters during the fermentation. Tasted at the "VDP Grosses Gewächs" presentation in Wiesbaden in August 2017.

Pale garnet. Very light nose. Good freshness but not as seductive as some of his other bottlings in 2015. Slightly dry, pinched finish. (JR)
