Healthy dark red. Reticent, slightly reduced aromas of blueberry, blackberry and mocha suggest a rather strict wine. Densely packed and uncompromisingly dry, but a distinctly elegant style in the context of the vintage. The medicinal berry and spice flavors are complicated by a light saline element. The least sweet and most obviously structured of these 2015 village wines, this Nuits-Saint-Georges conveys good verve and terroir character. Finishes with serious, ripe tannins and lingering notes of redcurrant and leather.

Bright full red. Very shy nose hints at crushed dark berries and menthol, even a bit of eucalyptus. Considerably tighter than the village wines from Gevrey-Chambertin and Vosne-Romanée, conveying excellent juicy energy but lacking pliancy today. This does not offer the early appeal of the last couple samples but still shows subtle sweetness and finishes with fine-grained tannins.
