The ruby colored 2015 Centgrafenberg Spätburgunder GG opens with a deep, pure, spicy and fresh bouquet of ripe cherries and red berries along with crushed stone aromas. Full-bodied, intense and powerful on the palate, this is a concentrated, ripe and full-bodied Pinot Noir with great tension, freshness, finesse and elegance. Thanks to a prominent part of whole clusters (55%), this is tightly structured by firm tannins. Very stimulating. Tasted at the "VDP Grosses Gewächs" presentation in Wiesbaden, August 2017.

Lightly smoky nose. Sweet start and lots of interest. Strawberries and gherkins – surprisingly nice mix! Fresh, unforced finish. Long – peacock's tail finish. Light and fresh. (JR)
