The 2016 Maranges 1er Cru La Fussière is showing very well from bottle, bursting from the glass with a lavish bouquet of plums, sweet spices and dried flowers. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, with a generous, gourmand profile balanced by succulent acids. It concludes with a sapid, youthfully chewy finish. This is a superb red Maranges that represents terrific value.

Cool, citrus nose. Very edgy and with a green streak. Not that concentrated but very refreshing. Cool and lively. (JR)
