Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Reaut is a little broody with sluggish tar and new leather notes to begin, then opening to a core of plum preserves and raspberry pie. Medium-bodied, the palate is a little rustic with plenty of savory flavors on offer and a firm finish.

The 2017 Réaut has an attractive bouquet with ebullient black cherries and crushed strawberry fruit, a hint of graphite that emerges with time. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded and pliant tannins, a fine bead of acidity with a detailed, quite mineral driven finish. What a superb Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux.

The charming 2017 Chateau Reaut (from the Cotes de Bordeaux region) offers plenty of Bing cherry fruit as well as medium body, solid notes of cedary herbs and spice, light tannins, and juicy acidity. It's a charming, balanced, delicious effort to enjoy over the coming 4-6 years.

The 2017 Réaut has an attractive bouquet: blackberry, sous-bois and light cassis scents emerging with time, a touch of brine. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannin on the entry, nicely judged acidity and well-integrated oak. Yannick Evenou’s Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux has been a strong performer in recent vintages and this is not different.
