Tasting notes
Score 88-91/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2018

(35% vendange entier; in tank, with a high level of CO2; Mugneret will add a tiny quantity of sulfur just before the bottling): Good medium red. Black raspberry complicated by smoky minerality on the ripe, expressive nose. Pliant and deep, with its dark berry flavors enlivened by licorice and violet nuances. An element of medicinal reserve accentuates the impression of energy. Finishes with a suave dusting of tannins.

30% whole bunch. In cask and will be moved to tank before Christmas. No sulphur since vinification. Light garnet. Gentle and nicely balanced on the nose. Very mild and approachable. Very fine tannins and masses of fruit. (JR)
