Leading off the 2015s, most of which were tasted out of bottle, the 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Habemus Papam checks in as a blend of 64% Grenache, 25% Syrah, and the rest mostly Mourvèdre. It gives up outstanding notes of strawberries, red cherries, flowers and spice-box, Fresh, elegant and very much in the style of the vintage, with medium to full-bodied richness, it will keep for a decade.

The 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Habemus Papam suffers only by comparison to the domaine's other micro-cuvées. It still delivers lovely cherry and stone fruit notes, medium to full body and ample concentration. The tannins are a bit grippier in this wine, so lay it down for a few years.
