The 2017 Givry 1er Cru Les Bois Chevaux is very promising, offering up expressive aromas of ripe cherries and rose hip, followed by a medium-bodied, supple palate, its generous core of sweet fruit framed by fine-grained tannins and balanced by juicy acids. The domaine's 20-year-old vines in this east-facing premier cru routinely produce one of Joblot's most charming, accessible reds.
