Score 87/100 · Drink 2018-2033, Robert Parker, Jun 2015

A big, virile, masculine style of wine, this 2005 has a dense ruby/purple color and loads of cassis, earth, minerals and spice. The wine is dense, rich, medium to full-bodied, and still not ready for prime-time drinking. Forget it for another several years and drink it over the following 10-15.

Lots of pencil lead and leafy notes. But not dry on the palate. Fresh and leafy but still has good fruit and a fine grip. (JH)

Light nose, some simple sweetness but no great concentration. Not trying hard enough. (JR)
