Moving to the Ark Vineyard release, this comes from a vineyard on Howell Mountain and is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in new French oak. The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Ark Vineyard just about jumps from the glass with lavish notes of mulled currants, chocolate, mulberries, Asian spices, espresso, and vanilla aromas and flavors. About as seamless and sexy as they come, this full-bodied Cabernet has no hard edges, a remarkably pure, seamless texture, and a massive finish. A thrill a minute, it’s going to keep for another 20-30 years.

Medium garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Ark Vineyard is a total rock star even at this incredibly youthful stage, strutting the stage with flamboyant freshly crushed red and black currants, black cherries, black raspberries and cassis scents with spectacular lilacs and fragrant earth accents plus sparks of cast iron pan, garrigue and grilled meats. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is charged with amazing energy, packing wonderfully vibrant black fruits, red berries and mineral flavors into a firm, finely grained frame, finishing very long and beautifully lifted.
