Tasted from magnum. A very warm, sunny vintage, 'perfect for drinking now'. Aromas of saucisson and plum chutney lead to a broad and muscular wine with ebb and flow of density. Long lines of winter-twig bitterness, dark chocolate, loamy richness, mushroom compost and baked plums. The finish growls softly with spices. It's serious and concentrated, but I can imagine with would be stunning with an oven-roasted leg of venison and mushroom sauce. (TC)

Tasted from magnum, the 2015 Chinon L'Huisserie is now starting to mature, offering mushroom, smoky notes and a hint of leather, throwing off its primary fruit yet still retaining that piquancy. There's concentration here but it preserves a sense of elegance and lightness, delivering chalky tannins and mouthwatering acidity. A touch drying on the finish, but that does not stop the pleasure.
