The supple, full-bodied 2018 Cotes du Rhone is a blend of 50% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 15% each Carignan and Mourvèdre. Black cherries lead the way, accented by hints of licorice and chocolate in a wine that's easy to like and easy to drink.

Just bottled, the 2018 Côtes Du Rhône has a vivid ruby color as well as a feminine, pretty bouquet of kirsch, white flowers, ground pepper, and violets. It's elegant, lightly textured, balanced, and has a classy, Pinot Noir-like elegance. Drink it over the coming 3-5 years.

This has a fresh, ripe and detailed feel with a very smooth, rich and fleshy, raspberry focus. Drink now.
