The 2018 Lafaurie-Peyraguey has opened up over the last three or four years with those lovely quince and honey scents still in place. The palate is well-defined with very well-integrated oak, gaining some weight in the mouth with a lightly spiced finish. This 2018 seems to be on an upward trajectory. Very finessed.

Light nose and a tad sugary. No real depth. (JR)

The 2018 Lafaurie-Peyraguey has a restrained bouquet compared to its peers, although it is very well defined, featuring pure honey, quince and light spicy aromas. The palate is well delineated, with a fine bead of acidity and beautifully integrated oak. Quite a sensual Sauternes, it is very harmonious with quite a persistent spicy finish. Superb.
