Score 88/100 · Drink 2017-2024, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Oct 2017

Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting, the 2014 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières from Arnaud Tessier has a relatively straightforward bouquet with scents of walnut, passion fruit and orange blossom. The palate is fresh and slightly sour on the entry, but there is a sense of edginess and it has a pleasant bite. The oak could be more integrated, and there is a toffee-ish finish that suggests this might not be a long-term Meursault.
