Fermentation at 22–24 °C in 500-litre tonneaux, followed by 11 months' maturation with bâtonnage. Pale gold. Creamy and rich nose, with gentle musk spiciness and overripe pear fruit. Fairly brisk acidity lifts the stony, spicy, oily textured palate. Warming, fairly long finish. Again, plenty of character here, as in the basic Pinot Grigio 2017. (TJ)

This is rather closed and a bit funky, but with aeration some citrus and melon aromas emerge. Full-bodied with soft acidity and a hint of sweetness. Easy to drink, but drifts off at the slightly warm, alcoholic finish. Drink now.
