The 2017 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a bright bouquet of red cherry and crushed strawberry with hints of peony filtering through with time - not powerful, but precise. The medium-bodied palate shows slightly grainy tannin and moderate weight. Very elegant and approachable in style, with a touch of white pepper furnishing the finish. One of the earlier-drinking Echézeaux, but delightful.

The 2017 Echezeaux Grand Cru offers up aromas of sweet fruit compote, smoky plums, dark chocolate and licorice. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and expansive, with melting tannins, a succulent core of fruit and a fragrant finish. Structurally giving and open-knit, it will charm in its youth.
