Soft, approachable, silky, elegant cherries and plums, with a side of flowers, smoked leaf and spice. Medium-bodied, sweet and fresh, drink this over the next 3-5 years with pleasure. This is a top value wine from the owner of Chateau Clinet. 90 Points

The 2016 By Clinet was previously called "Fleur de Clinet" and it should be noted that this is not a second wine, but comes from fruit sourced from Ronan Laborde's Pomerol neighbors. It has quite a high-toned, maybe even glossy bouquet of blueberry and black cherry fruit. The palate is rounded on the entry with fine acidity, a soft texture and good volume toward the lightly spiced finish. Not long-term, so enjoy this over the next three years.

With Ronan Laborde at the helm, this property has become one of Pomerol’s most sought-after. He has increased the proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, which historically represented half the vineyard area here.
