The 2018 Mâcon-Milly-Lamartine offers up a pretty bouquet of peaches, white flowers and nougat, followed by a medium to full-bodied, elegantly fleshy palate that's underpinned by a racy, even bracing, spine of acidity. While its generous fruit tones are faithful to the vintage, its tangy profile certainly defies any stereotypes of heaviness.

First vines they bought in Mâcon. 1999 first vintage. At 450 m (nearly 1,500 ft) and on very calcareous soil with big stones. Cold and late site. Bottled. Ripe citrus even a touch of apricot. Juicy, so fruity, and fresh too. (JH)
