The 2018 Marsannay Les Favières opens in the glass with aromas of cherries, raspberries and orange rind that mingle with sweet soil tones and a deft touch of toasty new oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with rich structuring tannins, lively acids and a long, precise finish. As usual, this is among the most promising prospects for the long haul in the Audoin cellar.

Spicy and nutty with plenty of savoury character to the otherwise ripe black fruit. Primary tannins that will resolve to silkiness in a few years. Plenty of depth and no rusticity here. A really good Marsannay. Should be GV . (TJ)
