The 2019 Clos Floridene Blanc has an almost identical bouquet to the one I encountered from barrel sample, featuring attractive pear and apple blossom scents and hints of yellow plum with lovely definition. The palate is well balanced and supported by a fine spine of acidity, if maybe less tangy than I recall. Nectarine and white peach emerge toward a finish that delivers all the length you need. Excellent.

Fresh and precise in its fruit character, picks its way deftly though the palate, plenty of stone fruits and lemongrass, with a structure and hold that reflects its high degree of Sémillon in the blend. An excellent wine from Jean-Jacques Dubourdieu, with slate and crushed stone minerality on the finish. Always a name to watch out for in white Bordeaux. 25% new oak.

The 2019 Clos Floridene Blanc offers intense scents of apple blossom, freshly sliced pear and yellow flowers. Wonderful. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, slightly tangy in the mouth and impressive depth and vigour on the finish. Excellent.
