Lots of vanilla, sweet plum, milk chocolate notes, touch of raisined/ confected character. Quite forward fruit aromas (slightly confected black cherry) Nice generous texture, slight layering on tannins but fully phenolically developed. Slightly lacking tension. Juicy and soft plummy flavour with sweet vanilla and milk chocolate notes.

The 2019 Marsau exhibits a lively and fresh bouquet with aromas of dark cherries, flowers, peony, rose, cassis and dark berries. On the palate, this wine is beautifully balanced with finely sculpted tannins and a juicy texture representing the essence of great Merlot growing on clay soils. This is a serious wine that illustrates the estate’s upward trajectory. It will offer a broad drinking window.
The 2019 Marsau is a very pretty Côtes dr Francs to drink now and over the next few years, while the sweet berry fruit remains vibrant. This attractive, mid-weight red is nicely done.
