Score 92/100 · Drink 2023-2034, Anthony Mueller, Wine Advocate, Jul 2023

Opening to an expressive and accessible nose that shows the warmer vintage, the 2017 Single Vineyard Shiraz displays a spicy and bold aroma with blackberry essence, spiced plums and hints of dusty flower petals. Full-bodied, the palate is generous and glossy with fine-grained tannins that lift the mid-palate before the wine reaches a brilliant, sweet-fruited finish.

Score 90/100 · Drink 2020-2030, Anthony Mueller, Wine Advocate, Oct 2019

The nose of the 2017 Estate Shiraz is ripe and lush with blackberry compote and black pepper that is balanced by soft vanilla tones from the oak. The palate is dense and chewy, yet still retains the purity and power of a juicy Syrah. Open-knit and fruit-forward, the wine glides over the mid-palate with fine, velvety tannins. Full-bodied, the wine shows a rich and bold structure that is balanced and delivers pleasure at every turn. Almost 24,000 bottles were made from Shiraz that spent 16 months in French oak barrels.
