96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec. Rainy winter and spring, with persistent cool temperatures leading to a late and full budburst. The cool and wet growing season led to late harvests. Deep ruby-purple in the glass. Sweet and smoky on the nose, blackberry and bramble. Underneath that there is an intriguing mulchy green edge akin to tomato stalks. The palate is full of black fruit, with wafts of tobacco and cedar, along with more tomato. There is a fresh acid bite, which accentuates the fresher notes in the mix. Zippy to the finish. (TP)

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is a smooth, medium-bodied effort that comes across as a bit tight and reticent in its youth. Hints of violets and delicate herb shadings join raspberry fruit notes, picking up cranberry and mocha on the long, silky-textured finish. This should steadily gain interest over the next several years and drink well through 2035.

This is a tiny-production, beautifully drinkable cabernet with currants and plums, as well as shell and hints of fresh herbs. Medium to full body, round and lightly velvety texture and a juicy finish. From organically grown grapes. This will drink incredibly well now, but will improve with age. 3,000 bottles made.
