Aromas of red plums, berries and spices, framed by creamy new oak, introduce the 2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes (Maxime Cheurlin Noëllat), a medium to full-bodied, gourmand and charming wine that's lively and succulent, with ripe tannins and a generous core of fruit. It's another of the more immediate wines in the range.

The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes 1er Cru uses 20% stems this year. It has a tightly wound bouquet of earthy black fruit mixed with blueberry and bilberry, and these aromatics demand some coaxing. The elegant palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity. This feels very promising, though it will be the final vintage under the négoce label.
