Pale ruby, the 2018 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley has a nose of red and black berries with wafts of licorice and dried flowers. The palate is light-bodied, soft and juicy with a fine balance of bright berry fruit and earthy accents, and it finishes long and perfumed.

Light, amber-hued red. Spice-accented red berry and blood orange aromas show fine definition and a subtle floral topnote. Lithe and focused on the palate, offering bitter cherry, red currant and pomegranate flavors that turn sweeter through the back half. Gentle tannins make a late appearance and add shape to a long, spice-tinged finish. There's no way I'd have guessed that this wine came from a hot vintage.
