From four parcels—in Meursault, Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet—in the Côte de Beaune, the Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey 2019 Bourgogne Chardonnay delivers inviting aromas of fresh pear, peach and white flowers. Richer and more generous than this year's crisper, racier Bourgogne Aligoté, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and charming, with a bright spine of acidity and a nicely defined finish.

Four parcels in 10% Chassagne, 10% Puligny, 40% Meursault and 40% St-Aubin. 15% new oak. Tank sample. Still very slightly cloudy. Ripe grapefruit nose and excellent tension. Real impact on the palate with a little bit of spice. Complete and quite long. A very superior Bourgogne. (JR)
