Rich and charming, the 2019 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Gamay exhibits aromas of crisp yellow orchard fruit, mint and beeswax. Medium to full-bodied, ample and enveloping, its generous core of fruit is girdled by bright acids. This will offer demonstrative drinking young.

Haisma: ' I don’t know how long I will be able to hold on to this, I suspect once the grower understands the beauty of this parcel he will take it all back. He has just acquired it! For the moment this is mine and therefore your chance to enjoy something really rather amazing. I have two barrels of this, so I am afraid it's six bottles per person.' Golden breadth on the nose. Already a pleasure and with some chewy greenery on the palate. Appetising, though without any savoury character. I'd ideally want to see how this will develop. (JR)
