Pretty nose of dried honeysuckle, hawthorn, dried pineapple, mango stone, clove and lemon peel. Full-bodied with vibrant acidity and a textured, buttery palate. Spicy finish. Bitter peach. Oily. Loads of chenin character. Drink now or hold.

Old Vine Project wine. Quite a panoply of aromas on the very intense nose. Perhaps the purest expression of Chenin Blanc in the David & Nadia stable. Long and neat. But I can’t help seeing parallels with a fine Puligny-Montrachet, I’m afraid. Very long and sleek, with real refreshment value and ageability. (JR)
