More saline character on the nose with aromas of oyster shells, lime zest, white pears, juniper berries and dried jasmine. Medium-bodied with tangy acidity. Crisp and vibrant. Tight, mineral finish. Better after 2022.

Old Vine Project wine. Very intense minerally nose with extract and green-fruit flavours but no shortage of ripeness. Very marked acidity on the very long citrus finish. This one should run and run. A suggestion of chewiness on the finish. You certainly could enjoy it now but ideally I’d wait until next year. Great throbbing life to this wine which has something of a Grosses Gewächs about it in terms of structure: a confident mix of body, acidity and a bone-dry finish. (JR)
