A blend of two parcels located halfway up the hillside in Comblanchien that Eyre has been producing since 2014. This year, the quality of the grapes allowed her to vinify with 40% whole bunch. 2,500 bottles and 250 magnums. Voluptuous wine that will surely win friends, especially if sensibly priced. Beautiful freshness but not aggressive whole-bunch character. Lots of seductive (but not too sweet) fruit here. Positively velvety. GV (JR)

The 2019 Côte de Nuits-Villages comes from two parcels around Corgolin (Le Clou Viré and Le Crux de Souris). Part fermented in a 500-liter barrel and the bulk whole bunch in stainless steel, it has an appealing bouquet, the whole bunch element quite persuasive and lending freshness. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, lilting red berry fruit and a very smooth and pure finish. This is a lovely Côte de Nuits Village from Eyre.
