The 2020 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Combes has turned out beautifully, bursting with aromas of pear, orange oil, fresh bread and hazelnuts. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and textural, with fine concentration, tangy acids and a penetrating, mineral finish, it's worth seeking out.

The 2020 Saint-Aubin les Combes 1er Cru has one of the most backward and reserved aromatics among Damien Colin’s 2020s; touches of sea cave and sea spray emerge with time. The palate is fresh and quite tangy on the entry. Maybe this does not quite possess the complexity of Colin’s other cuvées this vintage; it’s very linear and lacks a little flair on the finish.
