Cask sample. Looks relatively evolved. Gentle, very fruity palate entry without exaggerated tannin or acidity. I could drink this tonight with pleasure, while remarking on its extra ripeness. Slightly drying finish but quite fun. Even if very different from most vintages. (JR)

The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Lavières wafts from the glass with aromas of raspberries, orange rind, peonies, sweet spices and wintergreen. Medium to full-bodied, ample and perfumed, it's an elegantly fleshy, layered wine framed by fine, powdery tannins.

The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Lavières 1er Cru has a pure, perfumed bouquet with scents of raspberry and peony, the 100% whole bunch barely perceptable. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins, a fine bead of acidity, cohesive with fine backbone and a slightly peppery, clove-tinged finish. Wonderful.
