Tasting notes
Score 88/100 · Robert Parker, Dec 2008

I have a decided fondness for Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon, but Robert Craig’s 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Mt. Veeder, despite an impressive deep ruby/purple color as well as notes of blackberries, Chinese black tea, and flowers, is tannic and austere in the mouth. Medium-bodied and packed, with aggressive tannins and an angularity that causes some concern about its future evolution, it will take 7-8 years to know for sure how this 2005 will turn out. Consistently well made wines emerge from Robert Craig. Tel. (707) 252-2250
