The 2020 Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru, from vines planted in 1975 according to Olivier Lamy, has a take-no-prisoners mineral-driven bouquet. This is very minimalist. The palate is very intense and powerful, cohesive, lemon and orange rind intermixed with a persistent saline finish. Wonderful.

Another scintillating colour with its lively lime note, and a brilliant, exquisite, gracious bouquet. So smooth in texture, some plums as well as fully ripe apples, little notes of liquorice as well, brilliantly delicate finish yet with a tensile strength.
