The Oberhäuser 2020 Brücke Riesling GG is clear, ripe and intense on the nose, with wet stone and earthy aromas. Crystalline, intense and salty on the palate, this is a piquant Riesling with a lot of structure and length. Impressive like never before as a GG. 13% alcohol. Tasted at the domain in July 2021.

This could be Dönnhoff’s crowd-pleaser Grosses Gewächs but from a monopoly site of just 1 ha, it’s always put up for auction at prices which don’t please the crowds. The grapes are given a little more hang time to ripen, resulting in a sumptuous fragrance of ripe yellow fruit, floral niceties and even a hint of honey. Crystal clear on the palate with oodles of fruit, supple texture, great power and body, yet still incredibly fresh. Helmut Dönnhoff calls it baroque. (MS)

An extremely striking and unusually “dark” wine in the Nahe context. Sill quite closed, but the powerful structure and cool, herbal aromas are already clear enough. Very compact, but vibrant and mineral finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drinkable now, but best from 2023.
