The 2019 Corton-Perrières Grand Cru exhibits aromas of cherries, raspberries, sweet soil tones and petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, perfumed and layered palate that's velvety and precise, concluding with a mouthwateringly saline finish. It's a terrific follow-up to the excellent 2018.

Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2023-2038, Neal Martin, Dec 2020

The 2019 Corton-Perrières Grand Cru comes from purchased grapes from 55-year-old vines and includes 30% whole bunch. It has a well-defined and quite minerally bouquet that unfolds in the glass but remains tight. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. Good acidity here, and more red fruit emerging toward the finish, though it does not convey the same terroir expression as the excellent Volnay Champans that precedes it.
