Exhibiting notions of dark berry fruit and creamy oak, the 2019 Tour du Haut-Moulin is medium-bodied, rustic and rather astringent. Time may be kind to it, as there's some substance here, but it won't make many friends young.

Flowers and red fruits with a touch of chocolate come through easily on the nose and on the soft-textured, silky, fresh, medium-bodied palate. This should be ready to go on release and drink well for at least a decade. Drink from 2022-2029. 90 Points

The 2019 Tour du Haut Moulin has a heady, opulent bouquet, almost trying too hard to make an impression; I would have liked more restraint here. The palate is medium-bodied, concentrated and powerful, with saturated tannins and a lot of oak masking the terroir on the finish. This was lovely out of barrel, but here it comes across too hedonistic.

Blackberries, dark cherries, hazelnuts, chocolate and cigar box on the nose. Medium-bodied with polished tannins. Round, textured and creamy. Drink after 2023.
