The 2021 Rheingau Riesling Trocken is clear and fresh but a little bit dull on the nose, as if there were a layer of paper between the fruit and nose. Round and lush on the palate, this is a quite rich and juicy estate Riesling with vibrant mineral acidity and a well-structured, persistent finish. Excellent. 12% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted in July 2022.

A delightful blend of fruit and fun, with plenty of herbal nuances. Loads of apple and orange aromas. Crisp, dry palate with a juicy finish. A bit more challenging and demanding than the year before. This Riesling has a type A personality with things to say, and is quite unafraid to voice an opinion. Long mineral finish. (PS)
