One of the finest renditions of this cuvée in recent times, the 2020 Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise La Digoine bursts from the glass with aromas of raspberries, rose petals, orange rind and spices. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and vibrant, with an ample core of bright, perfumed fruit framed by fine, youthfully chalky tannins, it's beautifully balanced and will age with grace in the cellar.

Cask sample. From the vineyard directly in front of the house in the hamlet of Bouzeron. 45% whole bunch. To be bottled in October 2021. Purplish crimson. A little raw and simple, though certainly lively. (JR)
