The 2021 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is slightly paler in colour. It has a honeyed nose that suggests some botrytised fruit. As such, it just lacks a bit of definition. The palate is lightly spiced on the entry with notes of orange cordial, tangerine and mango. A little predictable in style with a pleasurable if simple finish. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

Mid lemon yellow, with a slightly blowsy full fruit, certainly no reductive character. The wine is quite full with a generous white fruit, though no especial intensity. An accessible Corton-Charlemagne which can be drunk soon, though without the grip I would hope for at the finish.
An impressive richness of aroma and texture with stacks of mirabelle and pomelo character. Stunning concentration on the mid-palate, then the chalky tannins gently build and the flavors expand. Crisp and delicate finish. Drink or hold.
Aromas of lime zest, freshly baked bread, pear, white flowers and wet stones preface the 2021 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot), a full-bodied, ample and satiny wine that's chalky and structured, with notable concentration, racy acids and a long, resonant finish. It's a very strong performance that transcends any of the vintage's limitations.
