The 2020 Corton Les Grandes Lolières Grand Cru doesn't entirely take off on the nose, missing some delineation and complexity. The warmth just comes through here and blurs the edges. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, sour cherry and citrus peel. It's chalky textured towards the finish. It's just a little muddled. I've tasted much better vintages of this from Magnien. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The 2020 Corton Grand Cru Grandes Lolières reveals notions of dark berries, plums, vanilla pod and spices, followed by a full-bodied, rich and velvety palate with a generous core of fruit that's framed by powdery tannins and lively acids. It's a fine follow-up to the lovely 2019.
