2020 Chablis Butteaux

The 2020 Chablis Butteaux 1er Cru sports a slightly heavy reduction on the nose but opens nicely with hay bales and light yellow fruit mixed with flinty scents. The latter becomes pronounced with aeration. The palate is well-balanced with a concentrated entry. The acidity matches the slightly honeyed fruit, maybe more Meursault-like than Chablis, although it does deliver complexity and nuance towards the finish. Fine.
