The 2019 Pommard Les Vignots bursts with aromas of sweet red berries, raw cocoa, spices and potpourri. Medium to full-bodied, layered and lively, it's brighter and more tensile than the richer Les Noizons, its charming core of fruit underpinned by a lively spine of acidity, a signature of this cooler, stonier, higher-altitude site.

The 2019 Pommard Les Vignots has a lovely candied red cherry and crushed strawberry bouquet that I find purer than the Les Noizon. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, the 30% whole cluster lending a subtle chalkiness toward the harmonious finish. This will need a couple of years in bottle.
