The nose of the 2018 Reserve Chenin Blanc is fine and subdued with a lively fruit profile of wax melon, yellow apple, sweet citrus and a touch of spiced white tea and lees. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is precise and textured with a delicate mineral essence and a kiss of phenolic bitterness that drives the mid-palate. The wine continues to evolve and uncoil as it offers a delightful oaky element with a food-friendly, creamy finish. 20,000 bottles were produced. Nicely done!

The 2018 Reserve Chenin Blanc was picked over three passes through the vineyard and sees 22% new French oak. It has a steely, taut bouquet whose aromatics feel buttoned down at the moment. The palate is crisp and well balanced, a mélange of citrus fruit, orange zest, apricot and light lemongrass notes that lead to a satisfyingly detailed finish. Superb.
