Score 87/100 · Drink 2023-2025, Eric Guido, Vinous, Oct 2022

The 2019 Rosso di Montalcino is earthy; a whiff of undergrowth and crushed rocks slowly gives way to musky red currants. This is soft and round on the palate with pleasantly ripe wild berry fruit and mineral tones that add a more tactile feel over time. This leaves echos of salted licorice and inner rose while tapering off with decent length. There's a slight bite of alcoholic warmth that lingers.
