Wonderful fruit, bright raspberry and dark-chocolate flavours with delicate structure but superb layers of fruit. So thirst-quenching! (RH)

The 2017 Geronimo is pure Cinsault, 60% from Stellenbosch and 40% from Paarl (the same vineyard as Break A Leg). It was 80% whole-bunch-fermented and spent nine months in barrel. The stemminess is quite pronounced on the earthy nose, which reveals hints of fennel. The palate is medium-bodied and quite saline in the mouth, offering a lively opening, fresh acidity and a satisfying, chalky-textured finish that beckons you back for another sip. Very fine.
