The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Gruenchers has turned out especially well this year, bursting with notes of peonies, rose petals, orange rind and red berries. Medium to full-bodied, perfumed and enveloping, it's supple and lively, with melting tannins and a seamless, charming profile.

The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Gruechers 1er Cru was showing the stem addition a little more than the cuvées. This is well-defined and vibrant, perhaps to some a classic quintessential Dujac. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, again, quite peppery with a grainy, focused finish. I can envisage this livening up a dinner table, an intriguing and quite intellectually-satisfying Chambolle-Musigny.
