The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny La Combe d'Orveau 1er Cru is fragrant on the nose: white tipped strawberry, raspberry and notes of forest floor, a touch of aniseed. The palate is medium-bodied with a hint of marmalade on the entry and nascent toughness at the moment. A sturdy Chambolle with good length, but it will benefit from 4-5 years in bottle.

Tank sample. Mid cherry. Real perfume! Roses, and violets. Very expressive and enticing. Flavours persist right to the long finish. Lovely. (MH)
