2.2 ha, their biggest parcel, 0.6 ha of it planted with Pinot. Frost free usually but not in 2021. Tank sample. Edgy and nervy with quite a solid base. Long and solid rather than ethereal. (JR)

The 2021 Meursault-Blagny La Pièce Sous Le Bois 1er Cru has a cool, reserved nose at first that is quite Puligny-like, with fine mineralité and definition. Scents of grapefruit and pear emerge with time. The palate is well-balanced with a silver thread of acidity. It's more linear and edgy than the Vireuils, with a little more persistence on the finish. Delicious.
