There is just a single 300-liter barrel of 2021 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru. It has a backward bouquet that is tightly coiled with scents of citrus lemon, broom and petrichor. It gradually opens in the glass…but not too much. The palate is well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity. It's nicely focused and quite powerful, with ample extract on the finish. Good potential, but give it three to four years in bottle.
